Le Moulin de Chatain is an English owned big carp water with lakeside accommodation and top class facilities, in the Dordogne/Limousin region of France. Located less 1 hours drive from both Limoges and Bergerac Airports (a pickup service is available if required).

This gorgeous French carp fishing lake of 3.6 acres is situated in a tranquil and scenic location in the Dordogne/Limousin border, close to the neighbouring department of Haute-Vienne. Known locally as the land of trees and water, you will appreciate why when you arrive in this stunning and beautiful location.

Le Moulin du Chatain Accommodation & Food

Le Moulin du Chatain is not just carp fishing in France, it is an exclusive carp fishing holiday, with excellent self catering accommodation for up to six staying in one of our chalet's, just 50 metres from the waters edge, and all for your private use.

We believe that whilst you are on holiday that you will want plenty of space around you, thus the number of anglers allowed is limited and the lake is booked exclusively for your party of anglers.

Breakfast, lunch and evening meals are available as and when required, delivered to your swim or the Chalet. Good quality food, home cooked from scratch, and plenty of it – including, traditional English, French, Chinese and Indian.

Bait is available locally and we will be happy to arrange collection of all bait and requirement or we can take you to one of the many bait and tackle shops in the local area.

The lovely historic town of Arnac-Pompadour, is only 12 minutes away by car, offering a choice of 3 large supermarkets on the outkirts of the town and full shopping facilities within the town itself. The charming medieval towns of Brive and Limoges are both 40 minutes drive as well as some of the best tourist areas in the Dordogne.

There are lots of local sights and attractions in the area should you wish to take a break from the fishing.
